An epidural is referred to as a local anesthetic that is injected into the spinal region to numb the pain when a woman is in labor. A C-Section is when a surgeon makes an incision along the abdomen and removes the baby without the mother needing to push the child out. At first glance, taking an epidural or a C-Section would seem like the best route to avoid any pain from delivering a baby.
